As Viktor Frankl once said: “…the meaning of life is love…” Although this sounds simple enough, truly loving and allowing yourself to be loved can be a lifelong struggle. That being said, I believe that people are resilient and complicated. One’s strengths and areas of desired improvement are often paradoxically rooted in the same belief system.

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist from the East Coast and earned my Doctorate in Psychology from La Salle University in Philadelphia. As a generalist who values diversity, I enjoy working with adults and couples across the lifespan and treating a wide range of issues. I use a collaborative and holistic approach, believing we can best meet your needs through joint effort and consideration of the whole person.

How Do I Approach Therapy?

I approach mental health - our emotional wellbeing and mental fitness - the way I would any other aspect of health: If we want to be well, we need to show up with intentionality and consistency. As a therapist, my role is to assist with increasing awareness and encouraging accountability so that you can discover your own resolution and what works for you. Change and consistency are hard, and my aim is to meet you where you are so that you can discover your optimal and idiosyncratic balance. People who know me describe me as caring, reliable, hard-working, and authentic, and these are attributes I bring into the therapy space to support you in reaching your goals and experiencing more harmony in your life and relationships.

My approach to therapy has also been informed by the leadership roles I have held as a psychologist over the years, including Executive Director of a state-wide mental health clinic and Clinical Director for an APA-accredited Internship Program. Leadership qualities of self-awareness, integrity, collaboration, and respect are essential in the therapy space as well. The wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience I have gained as a leader in my profession positions me to support my clients in a highly-skilled manner, with an abundance of understanding, adaptability, and compassion.

Who Do I Work With and What Concerns Do I Treat?

With nearly 20 years of experience, I connect well with many people - including highly successful professionals, physicians and other medical providers, attorneys, executives and leaders, psychologists and other mental health professionals, academics, and parents - to address a variety of concerns such as anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, burnout, life transitions, communication challenges, sexual concerns, depression, work-life balance, and relationship difficulties. â€‹

Of note, I do not treat personality disorders, substance use disorders, or eating disorders as these are not my areas of expertise.

Can I provide online therapy to clients outside of Indiana?

Yes! I am authorized to practice in 40+ states under PsyPact, an interstate compact designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology across state boundaries (APIT/E. Passport, Mobility #20093). This means I can provide virtual therapy to clients who are, at the time of the appointment, located in any PsyPact participating state. Check out this map to view which states participate in PsyPact.

My Specialty Areas

Trauma. I have worked extensively with trauma and have pursued additional training in EMDR therapy (Eye-Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing therapy) to help clients access deeper levels of emotional safety and healing. EMDR is a dynamic treatment for loosening the power of problematic core beliefs while simultaneously strengthening an adaptive belief system, setting the stage for psychological wellbeing and optimal functioning.

Couples. I enjoy working with couples. Relationships, even the best of them, are tough, and yet there are tried and true blueprints for managing conflict better, deepening trust and connection, improving communication, navigating sexuality and physical intimacy concerns, and creating a life that feels good for all parties. In addition to working with monogamous couples, I also enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ community as well as helping those in non-traditional relationships and those who are poly, open, or ethically/consensually non-monogamous.

Women. I love working with women. Whether wife, home parent, working mom, or career professional, supporting women on their journey toward self-compassion, clarity, confidence, and wholeness is deeply meaningful work for me. I believe in resilience and finding joy and peace in both the storm and the stillness of life as well as the in-between.

I look forward to connecting in the therapy space and helping you find harmony and balance.
